We believe that in today’s global society, where images have become a primary language and method of interpreting the world, evolving this dialogue is of vital importance and one of the most powerful ways to effect change.


Lorine Plagnol founded Sungazer in 2018, producing her first short with BBC in 2020.
Lorine is a BFI Insight Vision Awardee, was longlisted for a BIFA as a Breakthrough Producer and is a BIFA Springboard alumni.
Her first feature documentary DALTON’S DREAM was acquired by Storyville and her latest short, AREA BOY, lead a successful festival premiering at the Venice Biennale and earning an Honourable Mention at BFI LFF and a Best Live-Action Short Film Award at SBIFF.
Sungazer is a recipient of the BBC Small Indie Fund and currently developing a slate of first features with exciting new international talents.


Emmanuelle Roturier joined Sungazer and Equinoxe in 2022, supporting the development of a slate of Film and TV projects. Serving as Production coordinator and Manager on various of these productions, she quickly expanded her role, stepping into the position of Production Executive at Sungazer.
Emmanuelle has a background in Marketing from Toulouse & ESSEC Business Schools, where she discovered her passion for storytelling. Drawn to stories that connect with people rather than commercial messaging, she turned to filmmaking, specializing in documentary at ESPAA.
In 2025, she joins the board of Equinoxe to lead its expansion into animation - a new space to celebrate heartfelt and inclusive storytelling.
